"Monuments"explores the duality between valued and dismissed, visible and invisible,immersed in the everydayness of familiar objects rooted in territory and history. The work embraces the fragility of the everyday, paying homage to unnoticed beauty and meaning before chaos ensues. Inspired by Giorgio Morandi,the metaphysical composition focuses on the profound connection of two objects:the Campari Soda bottle, a symbol of Northern Italian design, and the humble crocheted doily, an expression of undervalued domestic work. Often associated with femininity, this art reveals a compulsive family decoration. Sometimes underrated, it seeks recognition in the struggle against being forgotten and condemned as a lesser craft.
